dance in the winds, render slender rhymes
for those are the nights when sleepless eyes
crave no dreams and elude no cries
There are times when the darkest skies
veils bright dots and the moon looks shy
for those are nights with the starless sight
my thoughts brood you in the memories so quiet
There are times when lifeless chimes
hung calm at peace in the pain so sublime
and the streets sound sane, across the pane
covered in dry leaves they yearn autumn rain
There are times when the words are crime
for the shrill of silence is far too divine
and distances so great in the desert of wait
for if love is to part my heart aches for hate
